March 2016- D'nysha
D’nysha is a beautiful 14 year-old who loves making crafts, singing, and shopping. Her family began services with ABA of Wisconsin, LLC to address goals of improving social skills, accepting “no”, and waiting for desired items/events while minimizing disruptive behaviors. After 9 months of treatment, D’nysha has demonstrated significant improvement across all program areas.
Initially, D'nysha engaged in physical aggression directed towards staff members nearly twice a week. Currently, she has engaged in only four incidents of physical aggression over the past nine weeks. D’nysha was also unable to accept “no” without engaging in problem behavior or wait for any period of time before accessing desired items/activities. Currently, she is able to wait appropriate during 89% of naturally occurring opportunities and accept “no” for 61% of opportunities.
Consultation services from ABA of Wisconsin, LLC and consistent implementation of the treatment plan by D’nysha’s fantastic residential staff team, treatment providers, and family members made it possible for her to learn self-management and coping skills. We’re so proud of you, D’nysha! When she was asked what she would like people to know about her progress, she replied, “I don’t get physical, I can accept “no”, and I wait without having a tantrum”.
